We have an immediate opening for a Facility Operator and Deployment Specialist.  The successful candidate can be based remotely in Alberta, but must be able to travel to client sites, to the PLC facility in Red Deer, and work from home as required.  Pure Life Carbon offers an attractive, competitive salary and benefits package.

The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled individual to join our team as a Facility Operator and Deployment Specialist to assist in the efficient operation and maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, mechanical and plumbing systems and with manufacturing.  The scope of this position will scale to include assisting with launching new facilities as the company expands to other domestic and international markets.

This position is tailored for candidates with a minimum of 5 years experience in designing and maintaining manufacturing and processing facility electrical and instrumentation systems. The Facility Operator and Deployment Specialist will be a journeyman electrician and may have qualifications in other related disciplines with a passion to work within a dynamic operations environment.

The successful candidate will participate in an intensive training process, initially filling the role of Manufacturing Specialist, prior to assuming all aspects of the Facility Operator and Deployment Specialist position.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing Integration

Apply a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes to seamlessly integrate within Pure Life Carbon’s operational environment.

Instrumentation

Apply instrumentation skills to wire, install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain various instruments and control systems.

Electrical Maintenance

Lead electrical design and maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades.

Independently diagnose and resolve electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Training Support

Collaborate with other team members to provide guidance and support in training programs.

Share expertise to accelerate the learning curve for individuals transitioning to the electrical specialization.

Documentation Excellence

Oversee the accurate documentation of electrical maintenance work, ensuring thorough and precise reporting.

Establish and maintain comprehensive records related to electrical systems and components.

Safety Leadership

Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety leadership by adhering to and promoting safety protocols.

Proactively identify and address potential safety hazards.

Deployment Specialist

Work with the Engineering team to provide a leadership role in the construction, startup, training, operations, and maintenance of future facilities.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

Journeyman Electrician Certification required. Certifications in other related disciplines considered an asset.

Minimum 5 years experience as a Journeyman Electrician or in other related disciplines.

Proven track record working in manufacturing and processing facilities.

Experience in instrumentation technology and control systems an asset.

Dedication to excellence and a drive for innovation.

In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and industrial machinery.

Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.

Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to guide and mentor team members.

Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a team-orientated environment.

Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex issues.

Proactive approach to preventing and addressing potential challenges.

Dedication to maintaining the highest standards of safety in all activities.

Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols in manufacturing settings.

Class 5 unrestricted Driver’s License and clean 5-year Drivers Abstract and ability to travel with own transportation.

Must be able to travel internationally.

Ability to work at remote sites is necessary.
